4. What is the difference between proofreading and rewriting?

Good question, since proofreading and rewriting both fall under the “editing” category… Proofreading is basic editing. It involves checking grammar, spelling and diction and helps tune up a document far beyond the capabilities of a word processor. Rewriting is our most popular service. It involves more extensive editing and will be geared to meeting all of your editorial needs, from altering your voice in the document, Whether you want to embellish, express your true self, tweak it a little, appeal to the masses, add wit, personality, professionalism… WHATEVER YOU WANT, we are here for you!

5. What is “ghostwriting?”

Ghostwriting is when one of our skilled writer/editors, creates your document for you based on information you have provided. We have written books in other author’s names. We have turned resumes into cover letters. We have ghostwritten articles, stories, memoires and more! For ethical reasons, we do not ghostwrite schoolwork, though we will help you “rewrite” it.

6. Can I be tutored without video chat capabilities?

We offer one-on-one “at home” tutoring sessions in many cities throughout the United States; however, all online tutoring sessions require video chatting capabilities.

7. Who exactly is editing my work?

A creative team of interesting and intelligent individuals, who all have impressive credentials, diverse backgrounds and eclectic interests, will edit your work. We will choose an editor who best suits your needs, style and personality. For more information, please see our credentials page here.

8. How do I know my writing will remain safe and private?

We take your privacy very seriously and your writing is completely safe with us. Our editors have all signed contracts to ensure that your work will only be used for your specific editing purposes. Your work will only be saved on our main server for future reference should you choose to use our services again, or need more help on that particular piece of writing. 9. How do I pay safely online?

The easiest way to pay for yaysayers.com services is to use a PayPal account. To set up a PayPal account, go to their website. If you do not have a credit card, or would like to inquire about a different payment method, please contact us for more information.

10. How many words is a page?

A page is approximately 300 12-point words, whether in Times New Roman font, our favorite font Cochin, or the Yaysay font (which doesn't yet exist because we just made it up.) Use your discretion; we are a little flexible here, but please don't go out of your way to manipulate margins, alter spacing or use a smaller font. We have a word count and we will let you know if your project is going to cost a few extra dollars to finish if it exceeds the terms we have just defined.

11. How do I submit my document?

Once your payment has been confirmed, you will receive a confirmation code. Then you may submit your document in one of two ways. You can attach a Word document to an email, or copy and paste your text into the box that we have provided (in the future, we may want to add google docs.)

12. How will you edit my document?

If you submit a Word Document (preferred) we will use the "track changes" option that comes with the program. If you cut and copy text, we will send you back the edited document in an email, but it will not include the tracked changes unless you specifically ask for a PDF.

13. I live outside of the United States. Can I still use your services?

Absolutely! You can submit from anywhere in the world. Our 24-hour turnaround applies no matter what time of the day you submit your work.

14. What if I am not satisfied with your edits?

We give you two edits per submission in order to guarantee your satisfaction. Our goal is to exceed your expectations, but if you are still dissatisfied with our services, please send us an email and we will respond to your concerns as soon as possible.

15. Why is your name Yaysayers?

We say YES to you. We choose YAY over nay. We help you SAY it better.

16. My work is copyrighted. Will this negate it?

Since our site offers an editing, proofreading and wordsmith service, our assistance does not interfere with your copyright in any way. Your copyright remains in your name and you will retain all rights to your work.

17. I am a talented writer and an amazing editor. Can I work for you?

18. Can you accommodate short deadlines?

All of our "by the page" edits come with a quick turn-around of 24 hours. If you have a deadline that is even sooner, please specify your needs to us in the comments section of the submission form and we will do our very best to accommodate you.

19. I am a perfectionist and don’t think that need help editing. Do I?

Here at yaysayers.com, we believe that EVERYONE can benefit from a personal editor, no matter how brilliant , talented or scrutinizing you are. A second pair of eyes always helps.

20. What if I can’t see the changes that you have made on my Microsoft Word document?

If you cannot see the changes that we have made, go to Tools and select "Track Changes." You will have three options: Highlight Changes, Accept or Reject Changes or Compare documents. You can also open up the Highlighting options and further modify the way your document displays changes.

21. How do I get rid of the highlighting and changes you have made on my Microsoft Word document?

If you Confirm or Reject the changes, the highlighting and comments will go away.

22. Can I send my project to you in sections?

Absolutely! That is the way some of the most famous writers in the world have had their work edited (not to mention printed…)

23. What if I don’t have a credit card to set up a PayPal account?

We want our service to be accessible to everyone. Please send us an email to inquire about other payment options.

24. Do I have to pay before my document is returned to me?

Yes. Yes. Yes.

25. Do you guarantee that I will pass or get a good grade if I use your service on a school assignment?

We cannot guarantee that your work will be received in any given way, but we are fully dedicated to improving your work substantially so that you notice how much better you sound. Most likely, your grade will be significantly better than if you didn't use our service.

26. Is your service “Cheating?”

No way! Most schools and businesses encourage writing assistance. Proofreading, peer editing and counseling are all considered beneficial and fall within the realm of our specialties.

27. How will I receive my edited document?

We will send you an email with the document in an attachment or in the text of the email.
